After the cold war, the army had to obstruct and destroy the stack of large numbers ofthe armored vehicles effectively to capable of winning what the strategy called "local warsunder high-tech conditions". Although the traditional single EFP is powerful but become weakwhen facing the armored cluster.This study works on a deformable MEFP warhead, uses lightarmor as typical target, and carries out the analyses on the factors of deformable MEFPdamage effectiveness and damage power assessment studies based on orthogonaloptimization. pecific research includes the following aspects:Firstly, on the basis of the analysis on the technical literature about EFP and MEFPwarhead both here and abroad, the article analyses the target characteristics of the lightarmored target, and summarizes the basic structure of MEFP warhead, damage mode and thekey design techniques.Secondly, the article takes the deformable MEFP charge structure, using numericalsimulation method to simulate the forming process of the warhead EFP, verified the feasibility andpoints out that the structure of the problem to be solved. Further analysis characteristics of thetarget and determine the charge diameter and type, computer simulation is used to simulateMEFP forming process under different precepts. Taking the EFP speed and draw ratio as thereference index, the paper uses orthogonal optimization analyzing the liner parameters, thecharge parameters and other relevant parameters which affect the damage effectiveness ofdeformable MEFP. On the basis of that, it gains the primary and secondary relationship ofparameters affecting the damage performance of deformable MEFP. The priority is given tothe liner thick whose effect is greater.Finally, combining the optimized structure scheme, the computer simulation that thedeformable MEFP penetrates into the armored steel target plate is carries out, which verifiesthe damage power of the warhead. It can achieve the desired object. At the same time, the results can provide a reference for the related manufacture work.
