Research On Design Of Household Medical Products For The Elderly Facing The Natural Interaction

With our country stepping into aging society gradually, and in the predictable future, the elderly’s needs on medical products and service will keep rising, so the issues on the burden of family supporting and lacking social medical resource become more and more serious day by day. Accordingly, optimized products designed according to the elderly’s physiological and psychological features are very few in the current market.Natural interaction is the developing trend of human-computer interaction. Compared to traditional interaction, natural interaction has higher naturalness and directness, provides the elderly more natural, comfortable experience and also provides new access to the household medical products design for the elderly.First of all, this essay makes detailed conclusion on the research background and current status of natural interaction and household medical products for the elderly and proposes corresponding research methods. Secondly, this essay analyzes the concept, supporting theory and technological elements of natural interaction, combines empirical analysis and concludes the four classical features of natural interaction. Through user interview and behavior observation on the elderly, this essay obtains a large amount of first-hand users’ materials. Thirdly, this essay transfers the elderly’s natural behavior to natural interaction and concludes design principle and strategy of household medical products in natural interaction, constructs the concept model of products design, thus providing reference for the research on the design of family medical products for the elderly.At last, this essay makes design practice on the instance of the elderly’s upper and lower limbs rehabilitation training products, and deeply analyzes the physical and psychological features of the elderly who suffer from physical handicaps. The design concept transfers their classical natural behavior to products’ natural interaction, obeys to household medical products design principle, strategy and concept model for the elderly in natural interaction to make functional innovative design, thus increasing the rehabilitation training experience of the elderly who suffer from physical handicap.
