With improvement of people’s living standard, consumption of footwear increased dramatically, which leading to more discarded shoes. Research shows, only 5% of those shoes will be re recycling, most of them will be burned or buried. From design to production, use and disposal, footwear have a longer cycle, while use is the most important part and closely related with the consumer. For daily use and wear, cleaning,maintenance and repair of footwear become problems in people’s lives. The traditional solution is by using brush or washing machine, maintenance and repair of footwear have to rely on professional repair shop,which has been far from meeting people’s fast pace of life and the high expectation of life quality.In order to provide more convenient products to meet the needs of people’s lives, extending the service life of footwear, Based on the deply investigation of professional cleaning repair shops and questionnaire survey on consumer groups, put forward the necessity of the chapter,vulnerable point of people’s demand, the traditional operation pain points and where the shoes are easy to damage,hinder people hands to operate the barrier point, people’s environmental philosophy and practical operation of the equilibrium point etc.. Based on survey data and man-machine engineering, Using reasoning design, brainstorming and other design methods, design a cleaning and repairing machine to meet the modern home needs, and analyze the using process effectiveness of the machine, in order to achieve the purpose of prolonging the service life of the shoes.
