Waterfront Landscape Design Based On Regional Characteristics

Waterfront landscape is an important part of the urban public environment, the application of regional characteristics is the basic orientation of the waterfront landscape design. Each region has a lot of rich and long history of cultural resources, these resources are represented by a specific area, or a place, it is because of the existence of these cultures, each piece of land is unique, unique charm. Therefore, it is necessary to integrate regional culture into landscape design. In order to integrate the regional features in the design of waterfront landscape design, we must follow the principle of local conditions and local characteristics, and integrate the regional features into the overall concept design of waterfront landscape and landscape design.This paper makes full use of the summary, case analysis method, from the waterfront landscape and the regional characteristics of the concept of aims to combine the regional characteristics of waterfront landscape space to create, and Chuxiong Shuangbai Meacham lake landscape design as an example, fully tap the regional characteristics of Chuxiong Shuangbai, the semiotic theory of transforming the Chuxiong Shuangbai elements of geographical features for the symbol design applied to Meacham lake landscape design. This paper mainly through the following aspects of the research and design of the thesis:(1) Design should be closely combined with the local topography, climate characteristics, native plants and other natural conditions, but also to tap the regional culture, combined with regional characteristics of the design, according to local conditions, to create a landscape with regional characteristics of waterfront landscape.(2) The project is firstly to analyze the geographical environment, the project is located in Shuangbai County, Chuxiong City, the main cultural characteristics, and then the culture will be the expansion of horizontal axis and vertical axis, and the use of regional traditional materials, combined with culture to reflect the characteristics of Shuangbai’s waterfront landscape.(3) The regional feature of Shuangbai mainly reflected in the culture of the Yi, Yi culture has a long history, rich in content, in Mitcham lake landscape design, combined with the methods and steps of regional characteristics mainly:to collect material, refined elements, symbol, the application of symbol.
