Compared with the other citydistricts, the city waterfront district has the advantages of the ecological and visualresources, and because of this, it plays a significant role in the enriching the citylandscape, improving the city environment quality, maintaining the steady ecologicalsystem.With the development of the computer technology, the digital technology and thedigital analysis technology has applied to the architecture as drawing tools initially, andhas applied to the landscape plan design gradually after that. The one applied aspect ofthe digital technology is the virtual reality, and its extensive use makes the diversedesign products imitate the reality simultaneously and conveniently, which provides acommunicated platform for the designer and the public. The other applied aspect is thedigital analysis technology. The digital analysis technology could be able to imitate andanalyze the design current condition and the design program, and evaluate and make afeedback for the design program promptly according to the analyzed result, so as tooptimize the design program. This design mechanism makes the design thinking and thedesign of landscape plan take a great change. The digital technology not only plays therole of drawing between the design process, but also could participate the landscapeplan design. The whole design process has improved to the rational and logical phasefrom the intuition and experience. Standing on this new design thinking and process, thepaper makes study for the ecological waterfront landscape design.The paper makes the digital analysis applied to the water front landscape plan anddesign as the research orientation, standing on the water front landscape plan and designand based on the theory of ecological landscape and concerning with the constructionland topography and microclimate features, as to discuss the suitableã€scientific andreasonable design strategy with the help of digital analysis technology. Firstly, the paperanalyzes the waterfront landscape ecological plan and design features and details, andsums digital analysis technology applied research on the prophase of the waterfrontlandscape ecological plan and design, which includes the analysis for the topography features and landscape pattern.After that, based on the digital analysis for the waterfront landscape constructionland, the paper makes the research of the waterfront landscape ecological plan anddesign from the macro-levelã€mid-level and micro-level. The macro-level means theplan strategy for the research of the ecological sensitivity zone with the beginning of theland suitability evaluation based on the terrain factors. The mid-level presents theoptimized strategy for the current landscape pattern with the aid of the digital analysis,and the micro-level makes the research for the waterfront space ecological design fromthe perspective of the heat and wind microclimate.
