The garden in the south is always different from the one in the north in Chineseclassical garden system. The gardens is in the north is mainly The Royal Gardenwhile Private Gardens in the south of Jiangnan. Since ancient times, Jiangnan area isrich with products, charming scenery and thousands of years’ cultural inheritance.And the natural and cultural environment also gives birth to the legendary andartistic characteristics of Private Gardens.The Jiangnan Private Garden is the most representative works of importantclassical gardens in China and also carries a big weight in the culture of the gardenart all over the world. The Jiangnan Private Garden’s fresh garden style layout andstructure with great originality condense Chinese intellectuals, skilled craftsmen’sdiligence and wisdom. It also contains Confucianism and other classical philosophy,religion and traditional arts such as landscape poems and painting, all of whichvividly reflects the Chinese classic literary men’s view of nature and life. Chineselong essence of culture, independent school of philosophy spirit as well as theinherent, powerful and unconstrained Oriental fantasy give Chinese garden artvigorous life spirit, artistic and fresh ethereal aesthetic artistic conception.Until now, though Private Gardens are not the products with their uniquecharacteristics in this age, their unique gardening practices and meaning-expressingways still have the model significance. They are worthy of our in-depth study andshould be inherited so that they can developed towards the new era of pluralistic,multi direction and design and be adaptable to current architectural features anddesign. Therefore, it has significant meaning to study the art of Jiangnan privategarden, to explore Chinese Classical Gardens Park features and aesthetic ideal fromthe outside to the inside and to innovate the art to suit the art today.
