Along with the rapid growth of motor cars in our country, there is an increasing demand and scale of driving training institution. Through applicating of driving simulator, driving training becomes a new method:low consumption, low emissions, and high efficiency. On the basis of learner-driven cars’moving data, this paper mainly described the research on energy saving and emission reduction of driving simulator used in driving training institution.The car driving cycle is the foundation of automobile power matching, also is the important basis research of energy conservation and emissions reduction. So this paper took a driving training institution as the research object, through the experimental investigation and research for a period of time, the primary driving cycle, advanced driving cycle and comprehensive driving cycle have been established by the short stroke method and MATLAB software. The methods to establish the coach car driving cycle:At first, the original data was divided into70short stroke, and then obtained these short stroke speed standard deviation, maximum acceleration, average speed, et al. At second, calculated the correlation coefficient of each short stroke’s eigenvalue matrix and integral data values formed matrix. At last, the lager correlation of short stroke was the learner-driven cars’driving cycle. Besides those, comparative analysis of the driving cycle of primary stage with advanced stage, the comprehensive driving cycle and our four cycle and foreign ECE+EUDC cycle were compared. The results indicated, the driving cycles had obvious phase characteristics, especially compared with cycle at home and abroad, the learner driven car had great difference, for example, the maximum acceleration, average speed, uniform proportion and so on.Based on the driving cycles, the fuel consumption model of the training has been established for each stage. On road training stage, the training time and the fuel consumption was established; on the off-road training stage, speed and consumption model was established, as well as comprehensive fuel consumption model. Using the established fuel model, this paper calculated the coach cars fuel consumption, then compared with the measured values, the error was between1%and8%, so the established model is feasible.At the same time, according to the relationship between the fuel consumption and emissions, analysised of the CO2emissions in the process of driving training. The results indicated that CO2emissions of each stage had the significant differences.
