DCS (Distributed control system) until today in development of Distributed control system, widely used in petroleum, chemical, energy, metallurgy, environmental protection, military industry, nuclear industry and other industries. Along with the increase in system function, distributed and hierarchical management characteristics of DCS control system is more and more obvious, system data traffic is becoming more and more big, so for the communication system study is very necessary, this will prevent the loss of data, implement more effective data communications. Because of the DCS system through state and can realize the different areas of application, this requests the design data forwarding system has the versatility and expansibility. Based on this, in this paper, the DCS data forwarding system is studied.Based on the plant field control station as the research background, according to the needs of project, design the gigabit Ethernet communication system based on programmable logic devices, at present the system has been in the domestic DCS applications.In this paper, the paper discusses the research background of DCS distributed control system, this paper, the related technologies were summarized and the basic institutions, including the FPGA design flow and the Verilog description language, IIC bus and RS485bus is introduced in the paper. This system is applied to field control station and various communication card data forwarding system, to handle the data transformation between gigabit Ethernet and optical fiber, at the same time based on the characteristics of FPGA confidentiality is poorer, to be responsible for the data forwarding and the light of state switch bypass module of FPGA is encrypted, to prevent data loss and theft.
