Research About Traditional Urban Design Method Of Jiexiu Ancient City

Ancient cities in China created its own unique ideas and methods, and had an important place in the world history of the city. Deeply Digging Urban planning theory and design methods has great significance for today's urban planning theory with Chinese characteristics. In this thesis, took the ancient city Jiexiu of Shanxi Province as the research object, and took the human settlement scientific theory as a guide, dig experience and wisdom of urban planning and design in Jiexiu city, through the research on ancient city of Jiexiu, in order to understand ancient Chinese city planning theory and method.The thesis, based on the analysis of the natural environment and social environment of Jiexiu city, analyzed the environment and landscape of the city and explored the the deep structure between ancient city planning and regional landscape environment. Through combing the history of ancient Jiexiu, clarified the context of the development of Jiexiu city and the reasons for the evolution of urban form and features. On the basis of analyzing the elements of Jiexiu city, proposed three levels of functional structure based on survival needs, social and spiritual needs of Jiexiu city, and according to the special ecological Jiexiu city environment, analyzed the city water supply and flood control system.The fifth chapter is the focus of this thesis, studied the specific design methods of the ancient city Jiexiu, including the location and the overall direction of the city, the axis relationship between the important historic Shigong Tower, government office, Wenguang Tower and the peak Mianshan mountain, and the important visual relationship of government office, temple, Kuixing Buiding, and Wenfeng Tower on Tianjun mountain. Then, it analyzed the scale modulus controls of the internal spatial structure of the ancient city, and studied the important buildings and the history and status quo remains and architectural feature in the ancient Jiexiu city. On this basis, reviewed the planning and design theory and methods of the ancient city of Jiexiu, and proposed some suggestions for the development of the today's Jiexiu and the protection of the ancient Jiexiu.
