The toroidal drive integrates drive, electromagnet, permanent magnet and control. The drive has many advantages such as structure compact, high operating efficiency, low energy loss, controlled output torque and speed and so on. The vibration analysis and control are significant for the dynamic optimization of structure parameters for the electromechanical integrated toroidal drive. Main results of paper are as following:The dynamic models of the rotating and the fixed stator toroidal drive are proposed. Based on the dynamic equation, the natural frequencies and mode shapes are gained. The characteristics of the free vibration in the planet mode and the coupled mode are compared. Besides it, the changes of the natural frequency along with the system parameters are analyzed.The forced vibration under impulse excitation for the toroidal drive is studied, and the changes of the forced vibration along with the system parameters are analyzed. Besides it, the dynamic model of electric system for the toroidal drive is also given and the expression of electromagnetic meshing stiffness is deduced. The changes of the forced vibration along with electric parameters analyzed.Through analyzing the parameters vibration for the toroidal drive, the expression of variable meshing stiffness is given. Based on the excitations of variable stiffness, the time and frequency response of the parameter vibration are studied. The changes of parameter vibration along with the system electric parameters are analyzed.The forced vibration under the composite excitation is analyzed. Through analyzing the excitations, the active vibration isolation and damping are given. The principle, method and experimental process of the mode test are introduced. By means of the test, the natural frequencies are obtained. The experimental and theoretical results show that the theory analysis is correct.
