Study Of Parent-child Contextual Space Design In Residence Community

Harmony is priceless in the society of China. The harmony of society relies on the harmony of the family, because the family is the most basic form of the society. The harmony of parent-child relationship is also an important part of harmony of the family. Under the pressure of sociometric competition, parent-child communion helps people to get back the losing original living meanings in today's society which is full with lots of benefit temptations, and the appropriate parent-child behavior can make great influence to the upgrowth of the next generation. So the design of parent-child space is of great values. In today's parent-child play, the needs of child always are the focus. In almost all the parent-child amusement parks and fairylands, even in the daily lives, child acts as a leader and parent acts as a supporting role. But parent-child activity is a bidirectional act between parent and child. The more they act together, the more the quality is improved. In the dissertation, we analyse the parent-child object, and treat the parent and child at the same important place, and study the psychology of different aged and sex people in parent-child relationship.We first extend the study area from parent-child space to public space, study the status of inside and outside, static and dynamic parent-child space, conclude some physical factors about environment and facilities, induce the basic mental characteristics of parent-child activity, and get the needs of parent-child space and the psychology of actual individual's parent-child activity by the way of questionnaire and investigation. After consulting relevant papers home and broad, we get the supports in theory from some files on the field of psychology, sociology, pedagogy and design art. Then we combine the theory and investigate result, return to the study area of residence community circumstance, explore design strategies such as by the way of producing the high-low lines, adding width, concavo-convex method, mesa mode, taking apart some amusement facilities to make it larger, large shinnying sculpture method, configuration open method, array method to design parent-child space. At last we use the upper methods and conclusion and finish the parent-child space design of Linyun community.This dissertation is organized as follows: we identify the related concepts and introduce the motivation and meaning of our study in chapter 1. The background and theoretic base of parent-child space design is introduced in chapter 2. Then the object of parent-child space design is identified and its activity and character is analysed in a psychological way in chapter 3. In chapter 4, the contents, structure factors and normal space forms of parent-child space design are presented. By the way of questionnaire and investigation, we study the design strategy of residence community parent-child space in chapter 5. The principles of our design and cases study are recommended in chapter 6. Finally the conclusions are made in chapter 7.
