With the development of industries there are many precision measurement demands of large aperture in large processing industry background such as shipbuilding. Stern tube front bearing pedestal and steel casting are ones of key components and their bore sizes require to a high precision. Therefore the study of a large inner diameter measuring system has important actual significance.This subject research aiming at the structural characteristics and measuring requirement of the bore makes certain detection methods. And we finish the overall design and manufacture of the measuring system after a full research and contrast. The system bases on precise mechanical centring supporting. Measuring system is a non-contact data acquisition measurement system including servomotor drive technology, laser measuring technology, encoder tracing technology, laser collimation measurement technology, PSD centring calibrated technology and computer control technology. According to the practical applications demand, the measurement system in this thesis bases on high precision laser displacement-measurement sensor. Finally complete an instrument measuring large inner diameter, and its function and precision reach the design requirements. Main contains of the thesis includes:1. The on-line measurement system adopts high precision laser displacement- measurement sensor and servomotor drive system, after analyzed stern tube front bearing pedestal and steel casting. The system includes benchmark axis centring organ, precise probe organ, movement organ and computer control system.2. The text introduces precise mechanic system bases on principle of mechanical design and function requirements of system. The two precise supporting axis centring organs and the design of shafting are explained. Sensor supporting bracket are main parts of measuring organ. Sliding supporting axis and pulley actualize the movement function with servomotor drive system. The design of spindle is also a key part of mechanic system.3. The text introduces sensor technology used in this system, such as laser sensor, coder sensor and Position Sensitive Device. Their principles and applications are depicted in detail. Measuring organ mainly uses the laser triangulation measuring technology and photoelectric coder controlling rotation angle technology. The benchmark axis centring organ mainly uses the laser collimation measurement technology and PSD centring calibrated technology.
