It is complex for product development, which contains a large number of information including activities, data, people and resources. For a workflow management system, its aim is to send the information including activities, data and resources the right person at the right time with the right tool, which is very important. Based on requirements of a ship gearing designing enterprise in Harbin and previous research in the field, the task intelligent assignment technology for the workflow management is studied. The major work is as follows.(1)Based on requirements analysis of the enterprise, the task assignment decision support system is proposed which consists of human-computer interface, database management system, model database management system and task assignment inference engine. And in the model database, human ability evaluating model, task evaluating model, staff-task model and similarity of tasks model is contained.(2)The human ability evaluating model is built based on rough sets without require any prior knowledge, all the data needed can be acquired from the existed database in the enterprise. Variable weight theory has been used for punishing and inspiriting a person's ability in some aspect to solve the problem of'situation imbalance'caused by invariable weight fuzzy synthesis evaluation.(3)A method for task decomposition on the workflow management system in PDM is presented. The staff-task model has been built. Based on rough sets, tasks can be evaluated.(4)Based on the triangular fuzzy number, an assignment model for single task is given. Based on the model, a heuristic algorithm of multiple task assignment is presented. For the experience tasks, an allocation method based on similarity of tasks is designed.
