Research On Design Method Of Material Composition For Small Grain Size Asphalt Mixture Based On Practical Function

In many developed economic regions, the highway construction has entered the stage of maintenance and early damage of asphalt pavement is relatively serious, in order to save cost of maintenance and effectively improve performance of pavement, it is urgent to an effective maintenance measure.The overlay pavement consist of small grain size of asphalt mixture can be used to prevent the slumping road quality continues to worsen, improve pavement surface flatness, restore the slideproof property of road surface and recover outline of road pavement,also has certain reinforcing effect, can serve as effective means of pavement preventive maintenance. In addition, small size asphalt mixture act as stress-mitigation interlayer of old road or Wearing Layer of new road.This paper firstly by virtue of CBR test, based on the analysis of bearing capacity of dry mixing aggregate determine to boundary mesh size of small size mixture. Secondly,on the basis of full analysis and reference to the existing in the gradation and proportion design method, research design method of material composition of small size asphalt mixture, which applicable to restore deformation of pavement surface, control fissure of road pavement, recover anti-skidding performance of pavement surface. In addition, proposes the key control indicators of corresponding proportion and carry out the basic performance test and related indoor material properties verifying test. Based on analyzing three kinds of asphalt mixture applicability and gyratory compaction characteristics, study different types of small size mixture construction craft. Finally, this paper makes cost accounting and economical benefits analysis for the overlay pavement.Research shows that this design of small size of asphalt mixture can be used as different diseases pavement maintenance thin layer of cover face materials, is a kind of "muti_function, multi-purpose" mixture; Its good use functions ensures the preventive maintenance effect, broad scope of application for its laid a foundation.
