Along with the rapid growth of national economy and transportation, heavy traffic, vehicle upsizing, serious surcharge and channelized traffic etc. are now becoming modern traffic's distinctive feature and inevitable trend. Because of continued warming of the global climate, road conditions of use becoming increasingly demanding, so traditional asphalt pavement has difficulty to bear. Kings of disease comes not long after the roads built. Even through use heavy asphalt, it still can not satisfy modern traffic's needs. Rut, temperature shrinkage, craze, pit slot and so on, these early destruction occur frequently. Therefore, what technical measures to improve the existing problems of asphalt pavement rut, to improve its use quality in the period of the service, to prolong its service life, to adapt the continuous development of road traffic, one of the effective method is to improve performance of asphalt mixture.In this paper, the applicability of anti-rutting polymer is the main research. Through different experiment to study their impact on asphalt mixture performance, and thus recommend suitable granulated polymer. From the modification mechanism of granulated polymer, by analyzing many important pavement performance such as high temperature stability, water stability, low temperature bending performance, and anti-fatigue performance of different kinds of granulated polymer, it then choose a kind of granulated polymer with excellent performance to respectively study the influence of bitumen-aggregate ratio and maximum grain size, as well as different temperature standards rutting test and immerseable rutting test. Therefore, it analyzes the improved effect of granulated polymer to asphalt mixture.Thesis research shows that adding granulated polymer can improve road performance of asphalt mixture especially high-temperature rutting performance, obviously improve the use quality of asphalt pavement; to choose optimum proportion of asphalt, appropriate maximum grain size and the best adding of granulated polymer, a road with high-quality and reasonable-economic can be built.
