The anti-skidding performance of road surface is one of the main factors affecting road traffic safety. It is also one of the quality indices for the evaluation of a new-built road and one of the indices to judge whether an old roads need to be rebuild. With the fixed external conditions, the anti-skidding performance of a pavement is largely determined by its surface texture.Characterization of the functional relationship between texture parameters and anti-skidding performance indices can help to determine the various anti-skidding maintenance measures, which can thereby effectively reduce the incidence of accidents or the severity of accidents. In general, the main research work of this study can be summarized as follows:1)Based on the relevant heat transfer and phase change theory,a numerical model of the semi-rigid base asphalt pavement structure is established in the FEM software,ABAQUS.The variation of freezing points of ice(water)layer under different factors, such as ice(water)layer thickness, atmospheric temperature, solar radiation and wind speed, are discussed, which could provide guidance for the subsequent research in the future.2)Several topics are discussed in the study,e.g.the basic technical principles and their pros and cons of various detection methods, the definitions of various structure parameters, the state of arts of the characteristics of tire-road contact and the function relationship between macro/micro texture and skidding resistance index.Thereafter,a detection method of surface texture is proposed for the study.3)In this study, the friction mechanism of the contact interface between the tire and pavement surface is discussed. The main components and the main factors affecting the contact friction between the tire and pavement surface are identified, which are selected as the parameters to simulate the tire-road interaction.4)In this study, the friction mechanism of the contact interface between the tire and pavement surface is discussed. The main components and the main factors affecting the contact friction between the tire and pavement surface are identified, which are selected as the parameters to simulate the tire-road interaction.5)Lastly,a finite element model of friction contact between tire and asphalt pavement is established by using ANSYS software. The friction stress of tire-road contact interface is calculated with different vehicle speed and tire contact depth.Meanwhile, the functional relationship between structural parameters and friction stress of asphalt pavement is identified in the study. |
