With the accelerating pace of urbanization, The pollution of the city environment is serious, environment suffers severe damage, meanwhile, residential environment is also under threat. Today, the awareness of environmental protection is being enhanced gradually, so people living in cities also urge to improve their living environment . Residential area is a place which offers residents in the cities life, living and engaging in activities of daily. Except for work , residents spend their much time in the residential area. Residential area's landscape is closely related to people's living and health. So how to construct the meet the humanized, scientific and ecology principle of high quality residential landscape outdoor become the focus of attention.Through the study of professional theory and the practice about landscape design , this article discusses the residential area's landscape environment construction closely related to everyone, taking Jinan , the capital of shandong province as an example. First, it reviews residential area's outdoor landscape planning in jinan and our nation , then against the background of residential outdoor landscape planning design in the city of jinan , it puts forwad problems and defiencies in the course of construction. Through the fact finding analysis and therotical analysis, it finds certain theroy eviences and planning design routes, constructing a comfortable and scientific and sustainable development's residential environment for jinan's residents.This paper is divided into four parts: the introduction ,the existing situation anlysis on outdoor landscape planning design of residential area in Jinan, the research on lanscape planning design of residential area in Jinan and suggestions and conclusions .
