The Study On Avian Diversity And Preventive Measures For Birdstrike At Ordos Airport

An investigation had been made into the bird communities in Ordos Airport an(?) the surrounding area from June 2008 to May 2009, with the related diversity indice analyzed. A total of 118 species belonging to 36 families and 14 orders was recorded Among them,15 orders 41 families are Passeriformes,21 orders 77 families an non-Passeriformes, they respectively account for 34.75%,65.25%. There are 8' families breeding birds(including resident species and summer migrant species) an(?) 31 families un-breeding birds(including winter visitors species and migrant: species) accounting for 73.73% and 26.27% of the total birds in the research regioi respectively.This includes:30 families are resident species,taking 34.48%of the tota breeding birds;57 families are summer migrant,taking 65.52% of the total breeding birds;28 families are migrants species,taking 90.32% of the total un-breedin: birds;three families are winter visitors species,accounting for 9.68%. Avian fauna i animal geographical divisions flora is the eastern steppe area in central Asia an inner Mongolia-xinjiang region. The Avian fauna reflected transitional character o: northeast type, north type and mongolian bird species.The investigation region divided into A, B, C three districts,based on th distance between the center of airport and the current node.24 bird species were recorded in A districts:13 residents,9 summer residents and 2 travelers;54 birc species were recorded in B districts:29 residents,18 summer residents,2 winte(?) residents and 5 travelers; 107 bird species were recorded in A districts:25 residents,54 summer residents,2 winter residentsand 26 travelers.In this survey, studied on the relationship among the faunal composition,th(?) ecological distribution, the community structure and habitation environment. Based on the survey, this paper roundly analyzed.The potential threats to the airplane produced by the birds Within the airport limits. Following the reserch, the birds be divided into four grades,namely the serious risk species, the high risk species, the comparative risk species, and the average risk species. There are 8 species of the serious risk,19 the high risk species,34 the comparative risk birds,57 the average risk species. This paper presents that changing airport and environment around with the Guidance of ecology and birds behavior science to decrease resource for birds, such as food, water and concealment place, so as to achieve the aim of Preventing Bird Strike During Flight.
