With the rapid growth of the national economy, the auto industry is also developing to a high level. To meet for security, a new vehicle safety requirement is in need. Besides, the deaths caused by traffic accidents have become one of the highest one in China. The cost for the casualties and rescuing, the productivity and labor force, bring tremendous economic losses. Researching on the injury mechanism, investigating the cause in-depth, and reconstructing the accident scene with the computer can make the vehicle structure more friendly and the traffic management more reasonable which can reduce the injury. In this paper, an actual accident investigation is taken, and then the scene is reconstructed, it can provide a reference to the study on the injuries. In this article, contra posing the above problem, solved four parts of work:(1) Investigating the common and serious injury to the pedestrian in the accidents of Xi'an, analyzing the factors includes pedestrians, vehicle and environment which leads to the accident, summarizing the characteristics of pedestrian injury to provide a theory basic and practical reference by studying the data.(2) Analyzing the injury characteristic of different vehicle models, studying on the mechanisms when the impact happened, and also types of road traffic injury.(3) According to the multi-body dynamics theory, studying multi-body dynamics implete method to simulate the pedestrian accidents.(4) Taking 3dsMax modeling and OpenGL-driven approach, building the models of vehicles and pedestrians in 3dsMax platform to achieve a multi-body dynamics simulation in pedestrian accident. Furthermore, exporting vehicle models to a 3ds format, and the pedestrian model to a md2 format, then control the movement in OpenGL Which can achieve the real-time pedestrian accidents and be able to interact.
