Nowadays technology is developing very quickly, the requirements of the quality of life and living environment for people are increasing day by day, and the indoor air quality becomes one of the research hotspot in the architectural environment field in nearly 30 years. Library in the university is the most important place in which students can learn and access to information, and is one of the most closely outside environment to the students, the average time students spent in the library is 3 hours to 6 hours, so the research about the air quality in the library is of great significance to improve people's physical and mental health in the library.Guangzhou has a long summer time and air conditioning systems have a long operate time, so selected a library in a university in Guangzhou as the measured object in summer, and according to the library opening hours, the information about subjective survey and objective investigation on air quality in the measurement were collected every two hours from 9:00 am to 21:00 pm. According to the environmental characteristics in the library, temperature,relative humidity,air velocity,CO concentration,CO2 concentration,formaldehyde concentration,fresh air volume and noise etc are chosen as the typical objective parameters in the objective investigation. Subjective administered questionnaire about air quality is based on the universal subjective evaluation survey table, and the subjective survey is to get the information about people's objective parameters bad review rate, adverse symptoms rate and unacceptable rate in the library. On the basis of both subjective survey and objective investigation, making use of grey incidence analysis method to calculate the grey incidence degree between the objective parameters and people's subjective feeling rate, and to analyze the relationship between the curve of objective parameters normalization and the curve of people's subjective feeling rate normalization.There are some conclusions in the subject research:1. The relative humidity in the library is beyond the standard recommended value range in six time intervals, and the fresh air volume in the library is beyond the standard recommended value range in some time interval, temperature, air velocity, CO concentration, CO2 concentration, formaldehyde concentration and noise are inside the standard recommends value range.2. Both the temperature bad review rate of male and the relative humidity bad review rate of male are more than them of female, but in the air velocity bad review rate, the smell bad review rate, the noise bad review rate and the air freshness bad review rate are opposite. In the temperature bad review rate, the noise bad review rate and the air freshness bad review rate, people who stay in library more than 3 hours are more than people who stay in library less than 3 hours, but in the relative humidity bad review rate, the air velocity bad review rate and the smell bad review rate are opposite.3. The grey incidence analysis between the measured objectively parameters and people's adverse symptoms rate from subjective evaluation shows the objective parameters affect the people's adverse symptoms rate from mainly to subordination are relative humidity,fresh air volume,temperature,noise,CO2 concentration,air velocity,formaldehyde concentration and CO concentration. Combined with the conclusions of the subjective survey and objective investigation, the objective parameters affected people's subjective feeling rate most and needed to improve most are relative humidity,new wind force,temperature and noise.
