Research On Vehicle Sound Quality Test And Objective Evaluation

Vehicle sound quality is an important part of vehicle NVH performance which affects the consumers'purchasing power and the automobile companies'competitive ability. In recent years, domestic research of sound quality has been paid attention to, but is just at its initiative stage.The thesis introduces the concept, research methods and evaluation procedure of vehicle sound quality at first. Then, methods of vehicle sound quality test and the objective evaluation parameters (including their meanings and calculation methods) are expounded in detail. Based on research above, some tests for vehicle interior noise and door closing sound are carried out. Objective evaluation is performed by time-frequency analysis, filtering analysis, psychoacoustic parameter analysis and so on.The results show that the time-frequency and filtering analysis have a good effect on the noise identification. Generally speaking, sound with low psychoacoustic parameter value such as loudness or sharpness is much more acceptable.
