Harbin is one of the northeast of China, spacial image of the city of Harbin become the important factor of Restricting city development because of competitiveness erodeing and city's status declineing in recent 10 years. Compiled by the Chinese academy of social sciences of Chinese urban development of the urban blue, the comprehensive competitiveness of Harbin has been decreasing. Based on the background of Harbin city, exploring space image and its construction. Based on the background of Harbin,â… probe the image of city and construction.First of all, based on the basic theory, law of urban image formation, research status,â… summarizes the domestic and foreign urban spatial image research situation, empirical research to CIS theory as a foundation, and raise main components of urban space image system.Secondly, based on the research of the status of spacial image of Harbin,I put forward that the space of city's image which is the hardware of image of city is the most important problem of image of city. I research urban style, open space, architecture, city blocks.I analysis each element of the historical evolution and existing problems, put forward improvement guidelines for a style zoning, open space system, building style control zoning.Finally, according to the Harbin space image elements, combining the characteristics and problems of the various elements of Harbin city space, I put forward framework and ideas for sharping the characteristics and problems of Harbin city space image:(1) Optimize urban spatial structure, determine urban style partition; (2) Build open space service system, strengthen regional cultural characteristics; (3) Overall urban architectural style, reasonable control of urban construction height; (4) Pay attention to planning guidance, improve the coordination of various levels planning and design.This paper based on system theory, from the angle of spacial image of Harbin, so as to provide ideas for image of urban of Harbin and the other cities, being an attempt to the research and exploration of image of urban.
