In 1898,the construction of the Middle East Railway made Harbin enter the colonial period.In 1898,the Russian planners began urban planning and construction with Nangang as the administrative center according to the western urban planning ideas at that time,combined with the specific terrain of Harbin.The modern city of Harbin gradually reflected in people's vision,thus forming a unique style of block and urban layout.At the beginning of last century,Harbin became an international trade center with great influence by virtue of its superior geographical location,and continuously attracted people from 33 different countries and regions to live.In addition,under the social environment at that time,China's national capitalism also ushered in good development opportunities,which helped to consolidate Harbin's international influence.In modern times,Harbin developed from a small fishing village into a prosperous international city,forming a unique urban space.However,in recent years,with the development of urban modernization,historical blocks are constantly damaged,unable to achieve a balance between economic development and block protection.Some streets are totally different,some streets disappear,and even some blocks cannot coordinate with social progress after reconstruction.The historical context of Harbin is also gradually fading with these blocks,which is distressing.This paper hopes to provide reference for the protection and renewal of the current historical block by exploring the modern Harbin street space form and cultural representation.In this paper,the research on the spatial form of urban streets in Harbin in modern times can be divided into three levels: the research on the construction of urban streets,the research on the design of street structure and the research on the expression of streets in cultural level.First of all,it introduces the historical evolution of the modern Harbin urban street construction,and studies the modern Harbin urban development history and the street form under the urban planning in different periods from the change of street space.Urban construction is the foundation of the formation of street space form.From the urban planning,we can draw the differences in rights and world concepts of the city rulers.In addition,urban construction is closely related to objective factors such as urban natural environment,which can show the development needs of the overall functions of the city.Secondly,it analyzes the conception of Harbin modern street space form Street space is composed of interface elements.Based on the interface morphological elements of modern street space in Harbin,this paper explores the three-dimensional composition of street pavement,interface and skyline,plate division,sketch facilities and nodes.The scale of street is an important factor for the formation of street vision and sense,so this paper studies the scale of street from macro to micro from three aspects: the layout of urban street,the scale of Street itself and the ratio of width to height of street space.The visual feeling of each element of street space constitutes its aesthetic expression.This paper explores the visual and psychological aesthetic feeling brought by space from the three aspects of light and shadow change,contour and landscape sequence of space elements.At last,the cultural connotation of Harbin modern street space form is explained.The diverse street space of Harbin in modern times bears multiple cultural connotations.Different forms and activities of different people flow represent the collision and integration of different cultures.From the perspective of culture,this paper explores the existence form and influence of foreign culture and Chinese traditional culture in Harbin street space.How to transplant and collide the foreign culture in the street space to study the embodiment of Harbin's cultural diversity,and how the street space carries the foreign culture and Chinese traditional culture to study the infiltration and integratio n of Harbin's multi culture.Finally,from the perspective of modern Harbin regional culture to study the impact of the two cultures on Harbin culture.
