Communication System Security Mechanism Research Of Distribution Automation Network Based On EPON

With the development of technology, the information security and computer control technology of power automation system faces serious challenges. Distribution network is a key link for the user of the generation, transmission, distribution and supply electricity. To a great extent the information security of distribution automation means how the power system is secure.After introducing the structure of distribution automation system and means of communication, this paper analyzes communication requirements for distribution automation system and the choices of communication mode for these requirements. First of all, Ethernet passive optical network (EPON) is mainly selected as a means of communication for the distribution automation system. By simple technical analysis, a communication system design, using EPON technology, for distribution network comes to the stage. Secondly, the paper makes an information security risk analysis for the EPON-based distribution network communication system, and uses information encryption technology to solve the eavesdropping, unauthorized access, masquerade and other security issues. Aiming at the key management problem of the distribution network automation communication system based on EPON, a key management scheme is presented. And then combining with the key management scheme, this paper designs a encrypted processes between the distribution automation equipments. Finally this paper analyses the presented communication system based on EPON for distribution automation, and concludes that the presented mechanism is viable and may solve effectively the mutual authentication and communication data encryption issues. This paper's studies is technically feasible, and provides a new idea for the smart distribution communication system with the information security.
