Today , consumers has higher and higher requirement on the product, while the material become substantially everyday .Physical functions is no longer the only focus of consumer's concerns, the perceptual demands such as the artistic quality, emotional message and symbolical has become a consumer's choice for products. However, the feeling content of the music as an important aspect of human needs, provides a new perspective for designers'researching perceptual demands.The method used in this text is combination of quantitative and qualitative, gathering information with market questionnaire survey, using vocabulary taxonomy of kansei engineering for statistical analysis, doing the interpretation with the existing research results basis and the implication for a course on basic point.The article according the correlation between arts, deduces the perceptual needs distillation by researching consumers'sentiment of music needs. Firstly, the article analyzes the relevance of music and products design from beauty in form, ways of perception and emotions. Secondly, the article discusses the use of musical expression in product design from aesthetic, psychology and symbols to design, also discusses in details from the aspects of the product design, artistic conception design, semantic design and the psychological. Finally, illustrates that how the expression of "merry" or "peaceful" and "serious" is implemented in products design. For this reason, offer the information of perceptual needs for the early days of product development , and offer the a theoretical reference for designers in the early days of product prototypes .
