As an emerging rail transit, regional rapid rail transit can connect urban and suburban areas, complete the exchange of passenger flow rapidly, relieve the pressure of urban metro passenger flow, promote the development of suburban new town, adjust urban layout. People have seen its rapid momentum of development. Therefore it requires us to make planning research in advance to ensure its development smoothly and rapidly and achieve the intended purpose. That station spacing of regional rapid rail transit is reasonable or not affects the exertion of rail transit benefit, brings profound influence on city spatial structure, land development along the rail transit line and so on. At present, there is no sufficient study in the station spacing of regional rapid rail transit. So it appears a series of problems that will restrain the display of its full function, such as excessive station spacing, the result of excess pursuit of large spacing and station spacing is so small that it can not do its rapid advantage. Therefore the paper makes research on reasonable station spacing in regional rapid rail transit.Basing on analyzing influence factors of station spacing of regional rapid rail transit, using domestic and foreign relevant research technique and successful experience for reference, this paper firstly establishes optimal model of station spacing, analyzes the relationship of station spacing with train operation efficiency and passenger travel time quantitatively and obtains the reasonable range of station spacing; Then combining with qualitative analysis of other principles of station distribution, such as the strength of passenger flow attraction, land planning and development along the lines, investment costs and benefits, the paper makes station distribution. Finally, the paper combines with the example of Beijing R1 express line to make an application and verify the application of the optimal model above.
