Research On The Color Design Of Urban Landscape

Urban design defines a locale by it structure and form. AS a means of urban design, color has a significant impact on an overall perception of the urban environment. However, for a long time we ignore the relationship among the colors of urban landscape and the beauty of the color. Until color pollution occurs and urban characteristic disappears, people begun to care about the application of the color in urban design. Because the study on color design is the new issue in urban problem, there are no comprehensive well-developed theories and recognized methods. So this paper is based on the theories of Chromatology and landscape design, by attempting to study the theories and method of color design of urban landscape. It consists of seven chapters.Therefore, this article from the landscape design of color and point of view, with color basic theory for the design of the Foundation, explored the theory and method of color design of urban landscape. Major problems against the phenomenon of domestic, to define the concepts and literature review of research at home and abroad, while the introduction describes basic color science, including the property, the impact on people of color and design method of basic, as well as on the basic study on color design of urban landscape, including the factors affecting the color design of composition, design, color, and so on. And then focus on color design of the urban landscape, including:uniform law on the main color, supported by hue, dot-unified, and landscape design method of color, combined with the specific cases described.The paper concludes that color design of urban landscape by attempting to arrange four kinds of color (basic color, dominant color, assorted color, embellished color) and consider natural landscape, human landscape and social landscape from three layers (the whole urban, functional districts and buildings), plus the usage of some design methods. Thus, the characteristics of an urban are fully viewed.
