The Characteristics Construction Research Of The Characteristic Style Of Spring City In Jinan

In the process of rapid urbanization in China, the current city construction activities in full swing undermine the inherent environmental characteristics of the city. At the same time, the introduction of western modeling construction methods results in homogenization of the cities' image. Cities' original characteristics are suffering a huge impact. Jinan Springs, as the most characteristic style with natural and cultural features of the area, are not spared as well. Under these circumstances, it is high time we should carry out a research about the construction of characteristic style.This paper is based on a research concerning with the construction of the characteristic style of Jinan, a city with superior conditions of landscape, and presents strategies about the construction with problem-oriented. The result will provide theoretical support for the construction in the future, and it has a positive academic significance. Meanwhile, it has direct significance to the construction of characteristic style of specific scenic cities.The whole paper is divide into two parts. The first part of this paper is the construction of theories. First of all, by sorting out relating theories and defining relating concepts, I present the objects and hierarchy in this research, and then delineate the extent of my paper. Secondly, I try to put out my design method of the construction of characteristic style in the four aspects of ecological patterns, local culture, spatial characteristics of images and architectural style, which means the relationship between urban patterns and natural environment, the inheritance and protection of urban regional culture, the guidance of urban spatial characteristics of images and the coordination and protection of building style.The second part of this paper is about empirical study. I select the most typical styles as the research objects, and then summarize the characteristics of different periods by retrospect the development of characteristic style. Secondly,I interpret the current situation of the characteristic style through exploring its natural features, cultural characteristics and spatial characteristics, and analyses the existing problems. Based on the four design methods stated above, I present strategies of constructing the characteristic style. The strategies are triple spatial framework of characteristic style, construction of landscape feature of characteristic style, construction of architectural features and construction of characteristic blocks and key lots. In the end, there is a brief retrospect and summary. Also, the last part of this paper presents something that need to be discussed in depth in the future.
