The Research And Implementation On The Remote Energy Meter Reading System

As the rapid development of automation technology, embedded technology, computer technology, wireless communication technology, Automatic energy Meter Reading System(AMRS) become a kind of important measures of the power sector management,analysis and processing all kinds of data. It can do the real-time observation of the electricity supply and use scientific method to control the enterprise, this will reduces electricity enterprise electricity costs and production costs. This paper will introduce GPRS in power system and studies wireless remote automatic meter reading system based on GPRS.This article mainly aims at the data communication of meter reading system. It designs the mutual communication mode through RS-485 bus between concentrator and collector and the communication mode through GPRS way. This paper have completed Although the work of this paper does not reach a large complete scale of long-distance automatic meter reading system, but its main principle and structure has been realized. To build a more complete long-distance scale, it will lay a foundation.In this paper,mainly doing the next works:(1) This paper study on the GPRS network and it's data transmission characteristics, study on the wireless transmission; finally designing the implement software.(2) We build a remote automatic energy meter reading system, By the way of Internet which is based on the RS-485 and GPRS technology.(3) Designing the data processing software system.(4) The system has fault-tolerance and compatibility with the network signal in any cases, the system use different ways to transmit data according to the local GPRS network coverage.This paper designing the remote automatic meter reading system, and implement the system framework, it has made a solid foundation for the lage remote system.
