The Comparative Study Of Contemporary China's Big Cities Settlements' Spatial Form

Since 1998, the State Department announced the cities and towns to stop housing distribution by material object,and distribute houses in monetization, China's urban settlements construction has achieved considerable progress, not only the sustained growth in the size, but also the shape and space is also shown a wide range of trends. This Paper studies on contemporary China's major cities settlement spatial patterns, through practical research, combining with examples, and summarizes up the whole space form of the settlements and the space form of physical constituent element's advantages and disadvantages, and dose empirical studies with a planning case to test the theory from practical level.Paper is divided into six chaptersThe first chapter,introduction.Paper describes the research background,significance,objects,features, the problem to be solved, the research methods and framework.The second chapter, Summarize the urban settlements planning related theories. Introduces the history evolution of the China's closed and open form urban settlements. Secondly, discusses the characteristics,management measures,advantages,applicability,problems and development strategy of closed form settlements。Then, set forth the characteristics management measures,and benefits of the open style settlements,and resolves Whether the residents having interests damage in the open form settlement, and discusses its trends.The fifth chapter, compare and study the Settlements'physical elements spatial Form.
