Power control system is a key part of nuclear reactor control system, which is important to the safe operation of nuclear power plant. On the premise of nuclear reactor modeling, some research has done on both PID control and fuzzy-PID control in this paper, which is applied to Ovation Distribute Control System of Westinghouse Company of America. At last, a semi-physical simulation system of nuclear power control based on Ovation System has been established.Basing on analysis of the structural and dynamic characteristics, after some necessary simplification, the dynamic simulation model of nuclear reactor has been established, including neutron dynamics model, thermal dynamics model, xenon-poisoning dynamics model, etc. Then basing on the characteristics of self-stability and self-adjust of the nuclear reactor, the model has been verified, which shows that the model is correct and can be used as the control object of nuclear reactor power control system.Considering the negative moderator reactivity coefficients of pressurized water reactor, the scheme is chosen that will make a constant moderator average temperature. Based on this scheme, fuzzy control technology was introduced to the classic PID control technology, in order to reset parameters of PID controller on line. As result, the PID controller can not only ensure its steady state performance but also improve its dynamic state performance.Using a minimum configuration of Ovation system, reactor control circuit and display interface are built, and digital reactor power control system is developed. Then communication program based on Modbus TCP/IP protocol is developed and finally connected Ovation controller and the reactor dynamic simulation model in PC through Ethernet. Then a semi-physical simulation system of nuclear power control based on Ovation System is established. And there comes the result that this system can control nuclear power on line and the control method is availably.
