A New Mode Of Practice Training On Materials And Process Of Industrial Design

According to the crucial and basic function of'materials and process'in industrial design education, the issue points out the defaults on the practice training of this subject in the entire industrial design education system in China and the reasons why such defaults came into being. Then, though actual case, the issue analyzes the advantages and feasibility of establishing a'Practice Training Base'in the product-model-making company to instructing the students for better understanding of common-used materials in industrial design and basic processing skills. Furthermore, such kind of'Practice Training Base' might be expected to spread to similar companies, thus, a proper co-training mode between colleges and companies can be found to fit the industrial design education in China.
