Equipments And Operation Of 10kV Switch Station

As the development of large-scale distribution network's construction, 10kV switch station is more and more important as a major facility in urban distribution network. The appearance of large-scale residential district, high-rise building and large industrial zones, make urban functions more complete and complex, and the customers propose higher demands for reliability and flexibility of distribution network. Therefore, building and maintaining 10kV switch station better has a pivotal role for construction of 10kV urban distribution network's main grid and improving of distribution network's power supply capability. In order to ensure reliable operation of lOkV switch station, electrical equipment must conform to its technical requirements. In the operation of 10kV switch station, defects and malfunctions still exist for switch cabinet's poor design, improper installation, improper operation and so on. We must take preventive measures to the defects and malfunctions, and avoid accidents.Furthermore, because of the economic growing in economically developed areas and urban industrial zones, the load density increases rapidly in some areas, so a way of 20kV power supply has emerged. As 10kV voltage level changes to 20kV voltage level in more and more economically developed areas, researching 20kV switch cabinet is necessary.This paper will be based on previous experience, combined with the current development and operating conditions of 10kV switch station's equipment, and then summarize the development and application of lOkV switch station's major electrical equipment, define the technical requirements for equipment, discuss the common malfunctions and its countermeasures. Moreover, the paper will research on the 20kV switch cabinet with the development of 20kV voltage level in our country.
