Waterway transportation system is the most important part of the transportation system, and multifunctional navigation mark, which is the correct mark of the channel, is the most important guarantee of navigation safety. The traditional management of navigation mark is backward of modern science and technology, which brings out single function, poor information and intelligence and difficulty to maintain for traditional navigation mark. Along with the fast development of computer, communication, GPS and sensor technology, the multifunctional navigation mark which take modern management method is appear. Due to the narrow inland waterway, the modern management method put forward higher demand of multifunctional navigation mark. System communication and multi-sensor integration are the key factors which restrict the multifunctional navigation mark widely using on inland waterway. Therefore,how to design a multifunctional navigation mark system, which meet system communication as well as getting information of meteorological, hydrological and waterway, has become one of the most important tasks in navigation mark management.The thesis firstly introduced the multifunctional navigation mark status, analyzed functional requirements, positioning mode, communication of navigation mark system and the selection of sensors, then proposed a solution to multifunctional navigation mark system, constructed the system structure and discussed the selection of key element. Secondly, the paper started the system design. This system used Zigbee RF MCU embedded hardware platform, GPS positioning module, acceleration module and multi-sensor integration to achieve multifunctional navigation mark management. The design of multifunctional navigation mark system is comprised of hardware design and software design. Hardware part design involved several circuit modules design,such as power supply circuit, Flash circuit, EEPROM circuit, GPS module interface circuit, acceleration module circuit, sensors circuit, low power consumption design, and so on. The software design included software structure and flow of telemetry terminal, communication protocol, navigation mark state acquisition and processing program, GPS data acquisition and processing program, data communication program and fault diagnosis program. And then the paper summarizes the test of the multifunctional navigation mark system, introduce the processe and method of test, give the content and results of test.
