With the rapid development of photovoltaic technology, Building integrated photovoltaic is applied more and more widely in the country. Now the status of design based on the subjective of photovoltaic engineers not only results in a significant waste of resources, also it brings great uncertainty, which has been difficult to meet the needs of development for BIPV. So exploiting computer-aided software for designing of BIPV is imminent.First, the paper researches photovoltaic power generation system and frame system, which are important parts of BIPV. PV system are consisted of solar cells, inverters and other accessories. According to the material differences, it assorts solar cells into single crystal silicon solar cells, polycrystalline silicon and amorphous silicon and discusses the principle of photovoltaic effect. It describes the design and use requirements of inverters and advantages of grid-connected photovoltaic system in the field of energy saving and environmental protection. Based on different forms of integration between buildings and photovoltaic modules, frame systems are assorted into tilt bracket, flat horizontal and embedded, and its design requirements are described. Then, relevant design principles of BIPV are summarized.Second, taking photovoltaic power generation system and frame system for the skeleton, the paper establishes design models of building integrated photovoltaic. It builds mathematical models for each module of PV system, including the calculation of astronomy parameters of solar, extraterrestrial horizontal radiation and surface radiation, selection principle of best angle of PV array and its calculation model, calculation method of single voltage and current, the calculation model of series and parallel of matrix components, calculation method of inverters in the design of PV array, the calculation model of power of PV system, its economic, environmental benefits, etc. Meanwhile, it establishes design model of PV frame. On the basis of assumptions to PV frame, it discusses analysis method, design conditions, load calculation, beam stress analysis, the node strength checking in detail on the frame kinds of tilt, flat horizontal and embedded and builds database for design of beam.Finally, under the model of BIPV above, combining the information at home and abroad and laboratory gain of years of research, the paper develops the software for computer-aided design of BIPV. It describes the design process of main program,the input and output of program and the related contents. The software is divided into preliminary design, engineering design and result query. It describes their related interfaces in detail.At last, the software is used in the example of a project to achieve the computer-aided design for project.
