Design On Performance-based Fire Protection Of Shenguotou Business Center Project

Performance based design is for the final target. In the traditional design of fire protection, the designer only needs to work orderly according to the relevant rules and regulations, while they do not care about the ultimate safety level or objective. The safety objective is implicit to the designer. Safety objective must be one of the factors considered during performance-based design. Safety objective is the final objective or safety level when designs fire protection, except that stipulated in the rules or regulations, the safety objective shall be negotiated and agreed jointly by fire management body, construction owner and the user. After finalizing the safety objective, the designer shall select fire protection measures at his dispose and combine the measures organically, which will compose the overall fire protection proposal for the structures.Performance based design is reasonable design. The study on performance based design is to renovate the existing problems of current fire protection design for the purpose of reasonable fire protection design.Taking account of specific characteristic and its function necessity of this structure, the design of this structure can not adopt relevant architectural design codes while it must be analyzed and designed on basis of performance based design, of which the programmed fire protection design can meet the requirement of fire prevention of specific structures and also has the features of economizing investment and improving the flexibility of using this structure as well as can achieve higher level of fire protection.
