Research On Coordinative Development Between Economy And Environment Of Island Town

As the economy in coastal area developing rapidly, some island town was overdevelopment, The environment and resources of island were destroyed seriously. The contradiction between economic development and environmental protection became more and moer obviously. Economic development of island town was at the expense of the environment and resources, which restricting sustainable development of island town, So it is very important to harmonize economic development and environmental protection. Therefor, this paper builds a evaluation model between economic and environment of island town, which taking Dadeng island of Xiamen as a case study to discuss the countermeasure of coordinative development between economy and environment of island town.The major contents are as follows:(1) This paper makes theoretic dicussion from island economy, island ecosystem and the connection between economy and environment, which providing a theoretic basis for evaluating coordinative development between economy and environment of island town.(2) This paper analyses the universal problem of economic development and environment protection of island town.(3) This paper builds a evaluation model between economic and environment of island town. The model is made up of two part-economy and environment system, using AHP to ascertain the index weight. This paper uses coordination model to contact with economy and environment system, analysing the coordination index between economy and environment comprehensively, which providing technical support for evaluating coordinative development between economy and environment of island town.(4) This paper takes Dadeng island of Xiamen as a case study. This paper analyses the economy and environment problem of Dadeng island on the basis of investigation, which using the evaluation model between economic and environment of island town to estimate the state of economic and environment of Dadeng island. Then, this paper analyses development plan of Dadeng island. At last, this paper proposes remedial measures for coordinative development between economy and environment of island town, which providing useful experience and lessons for many other island towns.
