Due to the high curing speed and efficiency, less energy, no organic solvents, good adhesion to the substrate and excellent performance of the coating, ultraviolet curing technology is widely used in many fields. One of the most applications is the curing of release papers coating materials. In this study, the coating of release papers will be prepared through UV curing technology and then the excellent performance release papers can be obtained by adjusting the influencing factors, which can solve the problem of relying on imports.The effects of the different photo-initiators, different oligomers and different active monomers on the basic properties of the coating were studied. The result showed that a very high curing degree was achieved, which can improve the integrated properties of the coating when photo-initiator 1173 and photo-initiator 1173 were mixed 1:1 by mass. Difunctional urethane acrylate 996 may provide good tensile strength and flexibility. Difunctional urethane acrylate 983 could significantly improve heat resistance of the coating. Single functional active monomer SR256 mixed with trifunctional active monomer SR444 according to mass ratio of 5:3 could gain the excellent coating property. Silicone modified polyurethane acrylate 990 could improve surface properties of the coating obviously. Surface tension of the coating was largely reduced. In addition, it also could enhance heat resistance of the coating. Adding six functional polyurethane acrylate 9006 to the reaction system could enhance the crosslinking density. Therefore, mechanical properties and heat resistance of the coating were raised. Total reflection infrared spectrum of the coating suggested that when the curing time was no less than 6s,the coating of the release paper was cured completely.The basic properties of the synthesized release paper prepared in this experiment were characterized. And the results revealed that the release paper have gained the better mechanical properties, excellent solvent resistance property, good flexibility property, yellow discoloration resistance and size stability.The comprehensive properties of the release paper that this experiment prepared can compare to the imported hign quality products. Therefore, the novel materials can be widely used in the process of production in leather products.
