Ultraviolet (UV) cured coating have made rapid growth and extensive application for their excellent performance and environmental protection virtue. In this dissertation, properity of UV-curing optical fiber coating was studied.Epoxy acrylic resin(EA) was synthesized from biphenol A epoxy resin and acrylic acid, then a new UV-curing resin was synthesized through the reaction of them and epoxy acrylic resin modified with polysiloxane . The effects of inhibitors, temperature, catalysts and reaction time on the every reaction were discussed systematical and the most suitable reaction condition on the every reaction was acquired.In the dissertation, polyurethane acrylate was prepared from 3-isocyanatamethyl-3,5,5-trimethylcy clohexylisocyanate , Polyoxyalkylene and 2-hydroxyethyl acrylate. On the basis of them, polyurethane acrylate/ epoxy acrylic resin modified with polysiloxane UV-curing optical fiber coating was made through adding photinitiator and diluent and other auxiliriarys. The effect of different content and kind of photinitiator and diluent were discussed. Photocurable technology was used to make adhesive layer which could be used for optical and mechanical experiment. The results showed that through modified with polysiloxane, the hardness, degree of gloss, and fragility of curing coat are improved, especially the resistance against heat has greatly improved.
