Study On Legal System Of Public Participation In Environmental Impact Assessment

Public participation in environmental impact assessment system is a central part in, whether it is for improving the efficiency of environmental development for democracy of environmental decision-making, comprehensiveness, and so has an irreplaceable role. Unfortunately,public participation in EIA in China is often a mere formality, the public's right, participatory rights were ignored, even ignore, this also led to a series of sea tragedies. In order to avoid recurrence of the tragedy, increasing environmental decision-making more scientific and democratic, avoid public participation is formalized, in-depth study of problems in public participation in environmental impact assessment in China and analysis of its causes have become urgent practical needs.
