According to incomplete statistics, the annual production of poor spinnability coarse wool in China is about 100 thousand tons, and the waste wool produced in the wool industry is closed to 100 thousand tons, which is not only a waste of resources, but also makes a pollution to the environment. How to use the waste wool reasonablely becomes a hot spot, and the fibrosis of regeneration of wool keratin becomes an important solution. Because of the specificity of the protin macromolecule itself, it has not been solved to make keratin to pure spinning because of the its brittle, the Japanese study group studied on extracting keratin from wool in 1995, and since 1996,they started to study on the fibrosis of regenaration technology of keratin and they utilized wet spinning technique to make tests and gained the conclusion that keratin can not obtained pure spun but only can filamentized mixed with PVA.Firstly, the subject studied the process of dissolving the wool to obtain the keratin solution by the reduction of C law, and by analysing the influence of different proportions of each dissolvants to the dissolution ratio of wool to properly allocate the actual ratio of the solvent in the solvent system. And the experiment indicated that the dissolution rate was higher and the integrated dissolution was best, and the concentration of keratin solution got was about 3.23%, and the average molecular weight was about 1000, with a peptide structure when the process parameters were as follows: urea 7mol/L, sodium sulfide content 3.0%, the reaction temperature 50℃, bath ratio 1:20, SDS 0.8% .Secondly, the paper discussed the feasibility of spinning by blended keratin solution and several kind of macromolecule, and the results showed that spinning by the mixture of PVA and keratin was feasible, and made a practice in the spin machine made by myself to gained the mixed fibers of which the content of keratin and PVA was different, and the highest content of the keratin was 25%. By identification and analysis of testing means, the blended fiber contained keratin, and the stress and the elongation decreased with the increasing of the content of keratin.Finally, the paper made a study on the preparation process of the wool keratin powder, and explored the feasibility of the spinning through the mixture of keratin powder and PVA fluid. The result showed that when the wool keratin solution was dried and ground, the keratin powder of which the size was less than 10μm can be obtained. But because of the drawbacks of the temperature control device of the spinning machine made by myself, the fluid could not be spun continuously, but if the temperature can be controlled properly, the filamentization by the mixture of keratin powder and PVA was feasible.
