Section steel is a kind of efficient and oecumenical steel, used widely in construction, railway, bridge, petrochemical and so on. As a important technique of finishing in steel production, straightening influences the quality and precision of production. With the expansion of production scale, and users'the improvement of product quality requirement, straightening has been paid more and more attention. The multi-roller straightening of heavy section steel is a complex process. There is currently no precise theory to calculate. Therefore, it is necessary for further study and exploration.In the paper, on the base of elastic-plasticity flexure theory, I analyze force exerted and the process of distortion on the process of straightening, build force model. I deduce formula of deflection, and then deduce recursive formula of displacement of pressing down , which is more actual new method of accumulating displacement of pressing down.In the paper parameters of roller spacing are optimized. According to dimension stock and kind of different profiled bar and the nip condition of the roller and the quality of straightening, and experience of the practical production, the span of rollers pacing is calculated. Then the value of roller spacing is gotten by optimization function at the target function of the minimum value of total straightening force and at the variable quantity of the value of roller spacing.In the paper, a special software is made in MATLAB language. In this software Object-orientated technology has been used. It can be used to calculate roller spacing, diameter of the roller, moment, force, power and displacements of pressing down. It is easily operated and a fine powerful assistant of the filed engineers and operators.In the paper, I use the FEM software—ABAQUS to simulate the 20# angle beam and the 60 kg rail to verify the validity of calculated displacement of pressing down. I analyze the structure of different types of chassis, obtain the basic principles of frame selection.
