The sand and dust endangering Beijing-Tianjin control project is an ecological project that owns significant strategic sense. The aim of this project is to solve issues of sandstorm harm and improve the ecological environment around the capital area. It is necessary to keep monitoring in order to understand the implementation effect of the project. The thesis is based on relevant studies home and abroad and the actual situation of the sand and dust endangering Beijing-Tianjin control project. In the thesis, a monitoring technical system for the project mentioned previously is introduced adopting the methods of combination theory and practice, the success of experience and explore. The system includes three parts: subjects to be monitored, a monitoring standards system and monitoring technical methods. The results are as follows:1) Based on the basic circs of the sand and dust endangering Beijing-Tianjin control project, subjects to be monitored consist of status of land-use, progress and effect of the implementation of the project, evaluation of the ecological benefit and so on.2) To establish a monitoring index system and technical standards for the sand and dust endangering Beijing-Tianjin control project.3) To bring forward the monitoring technique method including TM, SPOT5, QuickBird remote sensing information source. Analysis showed that utilizing the remote sensing information source of different resolution can monitor status of land-use, progress and effect of the implementation of the project, evaluation of the ecological benefit from macroscopical- intermediate -microcosmic different arrangement. At the same time, establish monitoring technology system for the project.
