Linyi is the biggest in Shandong province and the ecosystem of Linyi also is a better regional,but its ecosystem is not optimistic either in recent years and existing the aggravating ecosystem problems.These problems have became factors which restrict the development of economy.the main performance is that stability in the ecosystem system turn weak,such as the disaster of waterlog,pollution of the environment and soil erosion etc.However,how to analyse the ecosystem environment that presents the condition of Linyi,how to quantifically analyse the current ecosystem and which index to will be take to measure and how to make sure each index's power. This is a problem deserving of study. All above problems have been defined in Methods of Environmental Quality Assessment that been printsmaned by Nation Monitor Agent at 2006.Therefore,this paper won't to detailed on it but main content on how to obtain the data of these indexes and environment assessment.This paper makes use of RS and GIS technique to analyse and handle data obtaining for the first time during environment quality assessment process of Linyi.By correcting remote sensing video,setting,cutting out and so on,it acquire basic diagram of the regional.For the sake of cancellation influence to classification,it adopts methods such as ratio process to dipose the photo. In the end,it obtains all assessment factors numerical value by means of supervised classification.Atfer operation,it draws a conclusion that environmental quality of Linyi is fine.In order to further analyze the situation of the Linyi City, the paper used GIS software to handle and manage data.And final ,we obtain four thematic maps,such as grading of the biological distribution of abundance, distribution of vegetation cover grades, grade distribution of land degradation and environmental quality distribution of four levels. Analysis this four thematic map, this paper concluded that:(1)From the biological abundance index thematic map, we can see that the whole cluster of Linyi City, the biological abundance index is East high while West low, in which the biological index of Pingyi county is the highest, while the urban area, the Tancheng county and the Linshu county are the lowest.(2)From the vegetation cover index thematic map,we can see that the overall performance index of vegetation cover located in the west of Pingyi county and the Feixian are higher, while the urban area is the lowest.(3)From the land degradation index thematic map,we can see that the most serious land degradation areas are the Yishui county and the Mengyin county.(4)From the environmental quality index thematic map,we can see that the environmental quality index of Linyi City is at a high level, only the urban area at a relatively lower level.
