The Liuxihe Reservoir,with significant strategic position,is the primary drinking water source of Guangzhou city.With the increasing deterioration of eco-environment and with the fact that people pays more attentions to reservoir eco-environment problems,people bring forward higher demands about water eco-environment administration.Only introduced information administration can satisfy the requirements of the times.It has become a hot topic for water eco-environment management and planning to establish water eco-environment assessment and management information system(WEEAAMIS) based on the technology of geographical information system(GIS).This paper took Liuxihe Reservoir as an example to establish WEEAAMIS.Based on the summary of the related research results and practical achievements in water eco-environment management information system at home and aboard,the idea and methods of WEEMAAIS have been proposed in the paper according to the design principles of science, practicability,unification,expansibility and considering roundly requirements of water eco-environment management.According to targets and needs of Lliuxihe reservoir eco-environment management,The author analysed the conditions and restrict factors of reservoir eco-environment,and choosed the suitable reservoir eutrophication appraises models. The author took the advantages that WebGIS serves as an overall solution,combines characteristic of SuperMap Is Java WebGIS service platform,then adopted the three-tier distributed architecture,and brought forward the thought,the function structure and structure scheme of WEEAAMIS.Subsequently,the author used the Java programming language to carry out the concrete development job,and figured out a scheme to store and disseminate space data and attributes data.The scheme is based on SQL server 2000 database and a large spatial database engine-SuperMap SDX+.Ultimately the system has realized a lot of functions such as spatial information search,hydrology and water quality information inquiry and statistics,water environmental quality assessment,reservoirs eutrophication assessment,and embodies the systems analysis visualization characteristic sufficiently.The research and development mainly discussed the technology of reservoir eco-environment management,it also provided intuitionistic,universal,convenient,reliable management tool for Liuxihe reservoir eco-environment management.
