Improve The Quality Of Strip Welding

Welder is one of the key equipments in CGL(continuous galvanizing line).Strip fracture often takes palace because of the poor quality of welding,it has resulted in economic lose.this paper address on quality improvement of welding tension in CGL of ZHANGJIAGANG POHANG STAINLESS STEEL CO.,LTD.six sigma DMAIC procedures are applied to define the problem and set a target for improvement.then possible causes to the quality problems are investigated,HT(hypothesis test)is used to find the key factors.based on the results,a full factorial design(23) and a RSM DOE are conducted to optimize the key factors.improvement result shows that the welding quality has improved a lot,which is beyond the expectation and can save the cost.in the end,we set up control method such as SOP,SPC to maintain the improvement of the quality level.
