According to the actual application, the steel pipe-end should be flattened or cut the welded groove with the pipe used in welding. Chamfering machine is the special equipment for pipe-end processing. Currently, the processing quality of the traditional chamfering machine is still unable to satisfy the demands of the market, while exotic chamfering machine is expensive, long cycle of services. therefore, the research and development of new domestic chamfering machine meeting all actual requirements in the quality and capacity of the processing is imminent.The subject is on the background of the project "research and development of seamless pipeφ180-chamfering production line for AnGang Steel". This paper established the overall design program of the fully automatic chamfering machine on the basis of researching the working principle of steel pipe chamfering. Its mechanical structures, especially the important mainframe of the chamfering system has been researched and done a reasonable design. Adopted 802D NC system with IPC and PLC as the component of the electrical control system. Designed the 802D NC system application program, the under crew PLC program and the PC (IPC) monitoring program. The specific content of the thesis is as follows :The first chapter introduced the significance of the pipe end-chamfering and its process, elaborated the necessity of developing expounded NC chamfering machine, introduced the status and development direction of the technology and raised the paper's major content.The second chapter raised the overall layout program based on the design requirements and parameters, identified the function and structure of the major components, studied the motion control of the system and raised the electrical control system program.The third chapter designed the mechanical framework of the mainframe and accessories of the chamfering system,chose the spindle motor and the servo motor based on the calculated the force.The fourth chapter designed the electrical control system, discussed the hardware configuration of 802D NC system and studied the theory and arithmetic of 802d servocontrol, introduced the application of the hydraulic control system and PLC in the chamfering machine, raised the corresponding anti-interference measures based on analyzing the system interference source. The fifth chapter designed the 802D NC system chamfering application software, the PLC control procedures in light of the actual work requirements and the IPC control systems software.The sixth chapter summarized the work for R&D of NC steel pipe chamfering system, and prospected its development and applications in the future.
