| Curved surfaces have more and more extensive application. Surface processing general uses automatic programming. Mastercam is a commonly used CAD / CAM software. This paper is worked over the research of convex curved surface NC Machining technology based on Mastercam, and processing with Rizhao Shuanggaung Machinery and Electronic Co., Ltd.'s core die. Main contents are summarized as the following:We researched the peculiarities of the various Mastercam rough and finish toolpaths in applications of the core die's convex curved surfaces NC machining. Mastercam simulation modules are used for processing simulation graphics, and NCSentry software is used for measuring the operating parameters. The simulation graphics and operating parameters are compared to choose the optimal convex suface machining methods.The tool selection and cutting consumption and other cutting paramenters determined are also studied.Manual changing the default NC post-processing programs of Mastercam is studied, and the post-processors used to the core die's convex curved surfaces NC machining for FANUC series Oi-MB, Huazhong Numerical control systems are created. After verification, the module is accurate and reliable.Based on the above findings, the original program is improved. Through NC simulation machining and actual test, the new program improved efficiency significantly compared to the original processing program, achieving the surface equal Pistons mold surface roughness requirements. The original solution for processing caused the entire surface roughness imbalance in the use of metal casting molds in the cretaceous powder coating adhesion uneven problems. In this paper, the studies based on the convex surface of Mastercam Numerical Control Machining technology can provid a useful reference to the various types of core die with similar shapes, and further to a similar convex surface machining. |
