Study On The Sofa Back Of The Human Comfort

Along with the improvement of modern lifestyle and the search for individuation, sofa design needs to be enhanced to a higher level for satisfying the demands of people. The research on sofa comfort is the application and development of research on sitting comfort, it is also the inevitable requirement to satisfy the people pursuit of life comfort. Sofa back is the important part to impact the sofa comfort. A comfortable and reasonable sofa back does not only reduce the incorrect sitting posture, alleviate muscle fatigue of human waist, back, neck, but also enhances the efficiency of rest and work. So the research and evaluation of sofa back comfort is very important.In the study, we classify the sofa back from the influencing factor of sofa back comfort. By the way of combining objective methods with subjective methods, and by combining SEMG experiment and temperature experiment, this paper gives a experiment research on influencing factor of sofa back comfort. The results of experiment showed:(1)When the room temperament is 20℃, the comfort of contacting with leather sofa back is highest, contacting with blended fabric sofa back take second place, the comfort of contacting with leatheroid and plush sofa back is lowest.(2)When the hardness of sofa back is 29N,32N and 35N, the comfort of 32N sofa back is highest, 29N sofa back take second place, the comfort of 35N sofa back is lowest.(3)When the height of sofa back is 350mm,,450mm and 600mm, the results show that the higher the sofa back is, the more comfortable the back would feel. So the comfort of 600mm sofa back is highest, 450mm sofa back take second place, the comfort of 350mm sofa back is lowest.(4)When the obliquity of sofa back is 100°,110°and 120°,the comfort of 110°sofa back is highest, 120°sofa back take second place, the comfort of 100°sofa back is lowest.(5)When the thickness of waist cushion is 100mm,150mm,and 200mm, the comfort of 150mm waist cushion is highest, 200mm waist cushion take second place, the comfort of 100mm waist cushion is lowest.(6)When the height from the waist cushion center to seat surface is 150mm,200mm,and 250mm, the comfort of 200mm height waist cushion is highest, 150mm height waist cushion take second place, the comfort of 250mm height waist cushion is lowest.(7)When the thickness of head cushion is 0mm,80mm,and 120mm, the comfort of 80mm head cushion is highest, 120mm head cushion take second place, the comfort of 0mm head cushion is lowest.
