Establishment Of Cover-Designing Course And Teaching Research

In the 21 century, with the rapid development of economy society, increasing changes in scientific technique, and compatibility of culture and art, put forward new request to modern education of designing art. Much application of information-based technique has greatly changed people's study, work and life in the concept, quality and form. Facing with the challenges caused by the progresses of science and technology, market's self-controlling, and the variety of interest in people's appreciation of beauty, there is the urgent trend to adjust contents and ways which cultivate talented person in education of designing art. The cover design, a profession in designing, is an applicable subject which is related closely with social economy and scientific technique. It is a course which combines cultural content, designing creativity and application of technique together.This research, which takes the course of cover design as an object, will make analysis and investigations from the overview of present condition, the setting up of the course, and reformation of teaching method. Aiming at the existing problem in designing course of the cover-designing in college, combining the opportunity and challenge that today's society brought to the course, with the guidance of educational spirit in cultivating innovational talented person, the thesis will build up the framework of the course which makes use of scientific, vivid and independent teaching contents, establish the teaching method which combines classroom in the college, creation of experimental room, the plate-making company, printing company, publishing company out of the college together; it will also create a kind of teaching model which takes learner as center, fully transfer the enthusiasm of learner, provides meaningful designing course of book as a study experience; it establishes teaching means which adopt participation of a topic and actual operation. Through the theory of overall deploying and designing method in cover designing as a whole , designing of book's appearance , designing format, combining the teaching case in practice with craft practice, we should give the learner the chance to display and improve their ability to design independently, ability to practice and creational ability, so it will cultivate the learner's comprehensive quality, including scientific and cultural tastes, acute ability to appreciate beauty, the creativity of thinking method, ability to master professional technique skillfully. Especially, it emphasizes the concept of course which combines development of technique ability, improvement of designing consciousness, learning theoretical knowledge, and practical experience together.
